Wow. The wedding has come and gone...and it went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful ceremony at Tribeca rooftop (albeit a little windy). I think the butterflies were caught off guard. The wedding was everything we could have imagined and it was an honor and privilege to celebrate our wedding day with all our friends and family. We are both very lucky. We decided that I should walk down the aisle with both my parents and my mom was very happy. She made me start crying which of course lasted throughout the ceremony, especially when Mary, looking radiant and beautiful, started down the aisle. We chose not to see each other, so it was a nice surprise - even though it made pictures a logistical nightmare.
I will post the text of our thank you speech here in another posting. The only slight problem was we forgot the marriage license!! Luckily, our officiant was kind enough to sign it the next day and Cary and Susan were able to witness it. Problem solved.
Fyi - we also had the second Chinese banquet on May 29th. That went well too. I think Mary's mom was happy because she got to invite all her work friends. That's good. We want to make others happy with our wedding.
We are now on our honeymoon. After a 16 hour flight and a late night of packing, we arrived in Hong Kong yesterday afternoon. We checked into the Conrad, explored Pacific place mall, grabbed a quick bite and nap. We then went to explore Mong Kok and the Ladies market and did a little shopping. Got ripped off on some stuff, but got a good deal on others. Stopped at a local place for a late dinner and then took the bus to the Star Ferry back to Central. Then a long walk back to the hotel.
