Wedding thank you

As promised, below is the text of our thank you speech:
First, I'd like to thank my beautiful bride for making this a special day and making me very happy. I vow to do my best to take care of you and make you happy from this day forward.

Mary and I would like to express our sincerest and heartfelt thank you to everyone for being here today to witness the start of our new life together. You have all helped make us who we are, and today we celebrate a new beginning which will stregthen our relationship with all of you.

A special thank you to those of you who traveled to be here with us. We are happy to have friends from as close as lower Manhattan and as far away as Hong Kong to celebrate with us today.

Thank you also to our extended families for being here...Mary's cousins from Long Island and my aunts, uncles and cousins, most of whom are here from New Hampshire, but some who have come from Florida, Texas, Michigan and California.

We would also take a moment to especially thank and recognize some special people in both our lives, without whom none of this would be possible. You have helped shape the people we are today and will continue to guide us in the future.
-My parents: Tom and Rosa Chan
-My Grandparents: Grandpa and Grandma Chan, Grandma Louis
-Mary's parents: Cham and China Man Lee
Our Bridal party:
-Maid of Honor: Mary's best friend, Angela Cheung
-Bridesmaids: Susan DeSantis, Amy Lee, Kristine Willett, Meliza Chan
and now some of my closest and dearest friends:
-Best Man: Nishu Trivedi
-Groomsmen: Cary Ho, Peter Ng, Dave Newman, Cavan Siu and Jimmy Mark
and of course the adorable flower girl and ring bearer, Mary's niece, Lauren, and my newphew, Jacob

And, lastly, for those of you who know the story of how we met or that have gone onto the website to read the story, you undoubtedly know that three people were integral in making sure that Mary and I met in a little bar called Babel two years ago, thus starting us on a journey that has lead us to today. A very special thank you to the girls at Amex...
-Angela, Mary's maid of honor
-Marisol Sanchez, who quite literally pushed me into it. Our congratulations to Marisol and Peter who will be married in mid-June.
-and last but not least, Jenny Tay, a close friend who helped set the wheels in motion. Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in congratulating Jenny and Jeremy, who have decided to join us here today on their own 1-year anniversary.

If would all please raise your glasses, not to toast us, but rather to celebrate all that life has to offer when dear friends and close family are fortunate enough to gather and celebrate...on a beautiful night no less.

To new beginnings.

With Love,
Mary and Alex
