We then took a cab to Soho. We walked around there a bit but there really wasn't much to see. Lots of art galleries and ethnic restaurants (I know we should have just eaten there). We walked to Man Month temple then down to the subway to ride back to the hotel (it's only two stops but we were tired). We did some food shopping at pacific place and bought some ramen to bring with us to the Maldives. Bought some fried rice for lunch that was blah, but of course I ate it all. We were suffering from jetlag, so we took a long nap in the late afternoon.
At night, we took a stroll through Hong Kong park and then up the peak tram. It's the steepest tram in the world. We saw some great views of Hong Kong and Kowloon and took lots of pics. We had dinner up there, where we had some HK$500 shark fin soup and it was just ok.
After dinner, we decided to go to Stanley market. So we took a long and windy cab ride down from the peak, and guess what we saw when we got there...a bunch of closed shops and a few bars. That's it! Not what I expected. I had never been to Stanley during my previous visits to Hong Kong, but I didn't think it was worth the trip. Interesting, we saw a lot of American teenagers just hanging out on the pier. Not sure if they live there or not. We're back at the hotel now after another long and windy cab ride and we're gonna get some rest. Oh, when we got back to the room, we had a bottle of champagne with a card that read: "Mr. and Mrs. Chan" (weird huh?). Inside, it read "Congrtulations on your marriage!". That was nice I think. Tomorrow is a big day of seeing people in HK. Mary's high school friend and Mary's aunt. We'll see how that goes because we have to go find her aunt somewhere in Kowloon.
